My first custom munny. Decided to make one of my alltime favorite videogame characters Rikimaru from the Tenchu series. My first munny ever, I think it came out rather well. It was pretty fun and easy to do too. Once I get my kidrobot order in the mail I'll definitely be making some more of these. This one's not 100% done yet, I still have to customize the box and make his sword and sheath. Will update with those when I get done with them.
Made with a 4" mini munny, gw paints and micropen marker here and there to make the lines smoother.
thanks there will definitely be more munny customs in the near future I'm just waiting for my order in the mail.
It has already been sealed in the picture. I tend to use the FolkArt brand acrylic sealer and wood laquer and I also have a plastic model lacquer that is usually found at a gaming hobby store.
I first sprayed him with 2 coats of the acrylic sealer then did 2 coats with the plastic lacquer.
also they are all matte sealers I don't really like the glossy look but thats just personal preference.
thanks. I'm not sure yet how I'm gonna make it. I've been keeping my eye out at the stores to see if I can find a short stumpy sword that would fit the munnys hand but haven't been able to find one yet. The only other ways I can think is to either file down one of the accessories that come with the munny and make it into a sword, sculpt it out of clay or carve it out of plastic card. I could use the Mighty Muggs swords that come with snake eyes and stormshadow but these swords are a little too short and broad for what I'm looking for.
Hello, I had no idea mighty mugs came with weapons! actually never seen one in real life, do their accessories fit munny hands quite well? love the stormshadow sword though like you said its a bit too chunky, the ninja dunny sword is a bit oversized and although awesome looking using swords from Huck gees toys would make me nervous of them getting damaged!.....heehee working on a kill bill project so will need like 8 samurai style swords, have seen some great results with sculpey but i really suck with details so can't wait to see what you come up with so that maybe afterwords you can help me
Some of the mighty muggs come with weapons, not all of them though. They almost fit in the mini munny hands but would need to be shaved down on the handle otherwise it will strectch the munnys hand. I don't have any 7" munnys yet so I don't know how well they fit in their hands. Same here lol I suck at sculpting and dread anytime customizing requires it. I'll definitely let you know what I come up with when I get to it. Can't wait to see the kill bill customs the rest of your munnys look really cool so far.
